02 Queer Mental Health
The community grew exponentially during the Covid-19 lockdown when many were stuck in unsafe domestic spaces.
Now, we have over 17,000 community members—that's 17,000 individual narratives, 17,000 shared struggles, and 17,000 small wins. Our group has been a support system for queer people who couldn't share their sexuality with their families.
Queer Safe Spaces is the leading support group for Filipino LGBTQIA+ and allies.
TeleQueer
In aiming for inclusivity, it is important to recognize and understand the unique mental health struggles that queer women and the rest of the LGBTQIA+ community face.
Acknowledging the significance of mental wellness and the vital role allies play, Queer Safe Spaces proudly brings you "Dasig," a series of mental health learning sessions focused on the mental health concerns of queer women and the LGBTQIA+ community as a whole and how allies can create an inclusive and supportive environment for everyone’s mental well-being.
Dasig: MH Talks
An LGBTQIA+-affirmative mental health teleconsultation initiative by Queer Safe Spaces, in partnership with YMP LeaD. This program aims to provide accessible and safe mental health support for Filipino LGBTQIA+ individuals through online consultations with qualified professionals.
